DJ Picks of the Month October
Looking to map out your next music purchase? Check out the Communion After Dark DJ's favorite albums of the month!
Having difficultly locating where to buy this music? Since most stores in the U.S. don’t stock music from the genres we play it can be a real pain, but you can go our route: mail order. We use the online store Isolation Tank. Many labels, such as Metropolis Records, also offer CDs, and most artists have posted their libraries on their own sites, such as Bandcamp, or at the major digital outlets, such as iTunes, Amazon, etc.
Eden Synthetic Corps - Sandwalkers
The work moves in between dark-EBM and (h)el(l)ectronics. It’s a powerful exposure of dark lyrical themes, which will not make you happy. The sound universe of this band covers pure defeatism, which has been transposed into a dynamic and enraged sound creation. Some of the songs are driven by hopping sequences while supported with icy leads. Some icy elements are filled with a kind of raw technoid touch, but I can assure you it all remains dark and tormented electronics from hell.
Eden Synthetic Corps - Sandwalkers
Continuously shaping their sound, ESC's fifth album features yet again lots of new elements: A broader range of vocals, joining trademark ESC beats with innovative melodies. Darker than ever and this time focused mainly on old civilizations, mythology and nomadic people, the new album is a breath of fresh air in the Electro-Industrial Scene and features 14 brand new tracks!
Diary of Dreams - Grau Im Licht
The lugubrious ‘Grau im Licht’ presents another deeply moving and evocative DIARY-record that is characteristically full of atmosphere. There's no doubt about it that the loyal DoD-following will celebrate the melodic melancholy on the one hand, and brute force, on the other, the profound and enigmatic lyrics, and the somber vocals in this new chapter to be released in October 16th, 2015.
