DJ Picks of the Month July
Looking to map out your next music purchase? Check out the Communion After Dark DJ's favorite albums of the month!
Having difficultly locating where to buy this music? Since most stores in the U.S. don’t stock music from the genres we play it can be a real pain, but you can go our route: mail order. We use the online store Isolation Tank. Many labels, such as Metropolis Records, also offer CDs, and most artists have posted their libraries on their own sites, such as Bandcamp, or at the major digital outlets, such as iTunes, Amazon, etc.
Ashbury Heights - The Looking Glass Society
Sweden's top Electro-Pop-Act returns with “The Looking Glass Society” - an album that puts a decidedly contemporary spin on the duo's distinctive modern futurist sound and features 12 sublime new songs.
The New Division - Gemini
After a couple years of experimenting with dance music, John Glenn Kunkel returns in 2015 with "Gemini". These thirteen songs feature an ecclectic mix of sonorous guitar hooks complemented by synth leads eerily narrating times past-- all the while remaining boldly in the present.
Garmonbozia is an instant classic, hooking the listener from the first few seconds of Picture Frame Eternity, into "The Bombs" (featuring guest vocals from Mårten Kellerman of Statemachine) right until the final refrain of Train and is sure to win the band many new fans, as well as pleasing those that have already discovered this up-and-coming Swedish act, who are going from strength to strength.
